essential survival ability

Nature of Healing Rogue
Healing is not a linear process but rather a journey that follows a winding path. It is a continuous cycle of growth and transformation that encompasses the physical, emotional, and spiritual realms. Just as the cycles of nature and the turning of the seasons, healing too has its own circular rhythm.
At the heart of healing lies the recognition that everything is interconnected. Our bodies, minds, and emotions are intricately linked, and any disruption in one area can affect the others. This interconnectedness sets the stage for the circular nature of healing, where each aspect of our being influences and supports the other.
The first stage of healing begins with awareness and acknowledgment. It is the realization that something within us needs attention and care. This might be a physical ailment, an emotional wound, or a trauma. Once we become aware of this, we step into the healing cycle and start the process of exploration.
It involves delving deep into the cause of our pain, seeking understanding, and uncovering insights. It is a time for self-reflection, introspection, and embracing vulnerability. As we gain insights and understanding, the next phase of healing unfolds - integration. This is when we bring together the knowledge we have acquired with our personal experiences, beliefs, and values. It is a process of aligning our thoughts, emotions, and actions while embracing change and growth. Integration allows us to cultivate new habits, perspectives, and behaviors that support our healing journey.
Once integration occurs, the healing cycle continues with the stage of renewal. This is a pivotal moment where we experience transformation and rebirth.

Physical ailments may begin to subside, emotional wounds may start to heal, and a sense of inner peace and wholeness emerges.

This renewal radiates from the core and extends to all aspects of our being.
As we embrace renewal, the final stage of the healing cycle presents itself: expansion.
And so, the circular nature of healing completes its cycle, only to begin anew. Each revolution brings deeper self-awareness, profound. The healing rogue is an adaptable survivor. Having ability to fully live while being connected to the world.

One of the fundamental principles of somatic therapy is that our bodies carry the imprints of past experiences, including traumatic ones. Memories and emotions can become trapped within our muscular and nervous systems, leading to chronic pain, tension, and emotional distress. Somatic therapy aims to bring these unresolved experiences to the surface and facilitates their release, allowing room for healing.

What do you need to survive?

My view of healing is that it will be a continual cycle through life.

Only to the extent that we expose ourselves over and over to annihilation can that which is indestructible be found in us.

Trusting our innate

abilities to survive

The body and the mind move towards healing naturally.

Adriana is a Fort Worth counselor that specializes in trauma with military and high-stress populations.

Adriana has been a counselor in Texas since 2015. Therapy is a collaborative relationship between the counselor and the client to find the best healing approach for the individual. She became a yoga instructor in 2012, after her last military deployment to continue looking for a way to nurture her own growth and healing. It helped her work through trauma in the body that she didn’t realize she was still carrying. She decided to leave military service to get her graduate degree in counseling psychology with a specialty in forensic psychology. Adriana believes that individuals can naturally let their bodies and minds move towards healing in life and therapy can help. Through yoga, EMDR, somatic approaches, color and talk therapy; she is able to continue incorporating that holistic perspective to healing the past so we can live in the present.
